SEATTLE -- Microsoft is releasing a major package of updates and fixes for the Windows Vista computer operating system.The company says Windows Vista Service Pack 1 will improve efficiency, performance and security.Microsoft says Service Pack 1 was released today to computer makers. It will be available to consumers in March.Microsoft also is releasing Windows Server 2008 to upgrade computer servers.Vista has been on sale for more than a year. It was Microsoft's first new computer operating system in five years.
