    Windows Validation Problem
    « on: February 07, 2008, 01:28:44 PM »
I am currently using windows xp pro for quite some time now, i purchased a licenced version of windows xp pro of ebay last March 2007 fo 80 euro (im living in Ireland). Got it, installed it and everything is working fine. But last night my sister was listening to some music on my pc, when she was finished she turned of the pc but she did not click 'start' and 'turn off computer', instead she hit the switch on the wall where the pc is plugged in! :o . So i started up the pc today and its telling me that my version of windows is genuine ::)

So i went on to the page Microsoft told me to go on   https://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/ValidationHelp.aspx?displaylang=en&cCode=IRL&Error=13&PartnerID=131&sGuid=9300ab37-16af-4c11-a90a-bac1014598dc   and re-entered my product key but it wont take it, its saying that the product key is the wrong one :'(  What can i do to fix it? Do i have to buy another licenced product key?

    My specs are:
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    Pentium 4 1.4ghz
Geforce FX 5200 256mb Graphics Card
    640mb RDRAM
