    Why some email addressee's are refused delivery?
    « on: February 11, 2008, 09:23:39 PM »
    I've blanked the friendly addresses.  Look at the reason why my mail is being refused by a postmaster.  I think it has to do with my signal or footprint.

    Delivery failed 10 attempts: @yahoo.com Delivery failed 10 attempts: @yahoo.com

    You may want to edit the email addresses out of the post before the spambots find them.

      Go back to the post and click the button to edit out the email addresses.

      Emails not being delivered are usually due to server errors. I have no clue personally what that message means.

        Your message is being interpreted as SPAM by Declude, which is apparently running on your mail server. The issue is that it thinks there are trailing or leading spaces in the TO: field of your email. This is a symptom of spam servers and is a gigantic red flag for most anti-spam software. Make sure you have no leading or trailing spaces on any of the addresses in your TO: field and try to send the email again.

          Emperor, Slow down.  Your wisdom exceedes me.

          Trailing and leading spaces are new terms, I don't know how to influence them.

            When you are putting the Addresses into the TO: field some of them either have a space before them or a space after them. Your TO: Field should look like this
            "TO:[email protected];[email protected];[email protected]" not this "TO:[email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]" or this, "TO:[email protected];
            [email protected];
            [email protected]"

            The second two will get flagged as spam by your company or ISP's outgoing spam filter because they look very much the way email generated with mass mailers looks. Did that help clear things up?

              Yes your explanation makes sense now but it is MS Office\Outlook that sets up the spacing.  It is Outlook that is having the problem sending and having rejected mail to only certain friendly addresses.

              I had to generate a hotmail address just I could correspond.

                I've always thought that my MS Office has been compromised by an infection once and something remains damaged.  I've tried removing and reinstalling already.  I have no way to prove that unless you have some ideas.

                Maybe I will know when it is fiscally necessary to go to the '07 version.

                If there is nothing else to do I will just have to live with it.

                  You can manually enter the addresses in the TO: field correctly.

                    So you at least are in the mind set that I 'the sender' is the reason why my mail is being rejected.  I agree.  I don't think it has anything to do with spacing.  I can manually type in one single culprit address and it still be denied 90% of the time.  I will get through 10% of the attempts.
                    I have been told by my ISP that the receiving ISP is rejecting the mail or a router in between and I should address my problem with them.

                    It is strange because; as I have addresses that are being returned I also have addresses that are received without incident.

                      It doesn't make sense for you to be getting that same error from multiple different recipients unless they are all using the same anti-spam service. Are you sure that the spam filter doesn't belong to your ISP?

                      To me this sounds like "failed" is a positive thing and not negative. Failed to be recognized as spam maybe?

                        If I remember correctly as it was some time ago that I asked my ISP to look into the this.. My provider say's they have no problem routing my mail out.  It is being denied out in the field.  So to answer your question; does the spam filter belong to my ISP, they have categorically said no.

                          EF.  I see the applied reasoning your introducing.

                          How do I use that to fix my problem?
