What exactly do you need? Joystick, wheel, or gamepad? The cost is different depending what features you want.

Depends where you get your stuff. I have a logitech attack 3 joystick. That works great I got from computergeeks.

I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and it has the advantage of having a third axis (the twisting motion) that comes in handy with flight sims. Plus, it's only about $40.

A simple flightstick (good for flight simulators, but can be used for more) costs about $20.

So do I. It only works with certain games though. (Maybe "Games For Windows")

If you're looking for a gamepad and have a 360 you can use that, but you shouldn't buy one just for PC games because there are much cheaper alternatives.

I have a Logitech Force3D Pro. Think it cost me about $50. It's been the best joystick I've ever used in terms of weight, quality, and comfort.

i use an old modded xbox controller, its like 10 bucks, for the exact same thing as the 40$ 360 one. but then again, im cheap like that

Yeh I kinda felt like that at first, but you can configure it for some games. The thing is though I've bought a lot of games for windows so it works well for me. And i cant stand playing third person shooters like gears of war or assassins creed with a keyboard. fps games on the other hand are made for keyboard and mouse lol
