It does sound like a good idea.

My son & my wife both use the laptop & I could have a different profile for each of them.

Ok, now you've asked for it, more questions! (I know you love answering them ;))

If you have multiple profiles, how do you select which profile you want to use? is it like when you log on to windows with a box/passwords everything?

Are the bookmarks shared? if I create a new profile, will that basically be a completely new seperate standard FF profile?

Are the plugins/themes shared?

Am I annoying you yet?

Should I keep trying to?

 ;D

The login for profiles comes up when Firefox is loaded...not when Windows starts.
Yes creating a new Profileit will be seperate from all the rest.
Plugins/themes and bookmarks can be shared or not shared depending on how you want to do it.
No you're not and yes you should...

I'm not that stupid (although I look it lol) I gathered that! I meant when you open FF is it similar to how windows starts, but you've answered this now so thank you.

Plugins/themes and bookmarks can be shared or not shared depending on how you want to do it.

Cool. I can have a pretty pink profile for her (keeps her sweet) & something like a macho army profile for him (butch him up a bit... like his hunky dad ;))

No you're not and yes you should...

It's just to tease me....hehehe

See, everythings about you Broni isn't it? it's just me, me, me all the time!  :)

Morning Broni

I suspect Broni's intentions have switched from buggering my Vista install to him buggering your FireFox profiles...
Time will tell.

BTW i highly suggest anothe r great Mozilla tool called MozBack...backs up Profiles...extensions...and themes.
Especially useful if your tinkering around with multi profiles.

( Don't tell Broni i suggested it )

 :D

Thanks Patio, I got that MozBack - very handy.

I think I might have to create a new profile, I can't install themes either (not even manually).

I'll have a go & annoy you again later Broni, as it seems Patio is surprisingly tolerable!
