thats great. so you know what a CPU is and where it goes correct? thats not the issue im concerned with.

simply because you know how to piece together a computer does not mean you are educated in hardware. the "specs" that you gave him, specs is in quotes because specs is short for specifications and you were not specific, were extremely low-end at best and nowheres near a "high lvl gamin machine". by you recommending such low-end components and stating it will be a high-end machine that, at least to me, shows you know very little about hardware. also, the price quote the you gave for those low-end components will be nowheres near $750 and should be in the vicinity of $300-$400, and without the monitor $150.

these specs are perfect way better than mine which are half of these specs.

pentium 4 processor or higher that runs at 2.0GHZ or higher. make sure it has at least a 40GB hard drive. a DVD-ROM drive would be nice if some of the games u play are on a DVD format. then u should get a graphics card with at least 256MB Video ram on it. and get a LCD monitor. all of this would let u have a high lvl gamin machine.

dude that is considered med to high level in gaming.

that might have been considered a medium to high level gaming computer about two years ago. nowadays, i would call those specs you provided low to extremely low-end.

well, either they lied or they are just stupid.

macdad, he is asking for specs, you are giving him ball park estimates, like something that you find on the back of a game under "minimum system requirements."

Any one can put a pc together if they some what know what there doing, there are kits you can even get.  This is only one part in the equation if the HD isnt running win or which ever os you cant say send it back and get it fixed.
Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!
