lost farvoites menu and my picture file

I have lost all my pictures in my file and my favorites menu. how do I get them back . I have windows xp pro . Also my cd player will not work. it said I have lost my drivers for my computer for my cds and printers. HELP!!!!

One  Day it was there the next gone  when I click on my favorites list all my favorites are gone don't no what happen . same with my pictures . my cd rom doesn't work . can't run cds . can't burn cds . what's going on ?.
