No it doesn't work.  In fact Idon't want to open the file just the folder to extract the file.  I tried going into the Control Panel-Folder Options-File Types-SGN-Change but the only change I can make is to open the file by another means.  I tried to change it to WinZip to open but it reverts back to WordPad.  I also tried to do the shiftkey/right click - properties-change and that didn't work either for the same reason.

Dload or have someone send you a zip file.
Locate that file and change it's association to Open With WinZip and see if this corrects things...

By the way are any of your other file associations screwed up that you know of ? ?

The other option would be to DLoad and install 7Zip and see if it handles the file properly...it's Free and if it does the same thing that means the file you are dealing with is corrupt and or unreadable...

At the moment I do not seem to be having any problem with any other files.  I wondered about downloading the WinRar program to try it.

WinRar may not be Free...7Zip is.
