internet connection

i am the main computer wireless network to a laptop bit confused when i boot up in the task bar i get 2 computer icons LAC speed 100Mbps connected i am able to surf the internet then after 30 minutes i get internet is now connected i get another icon internet connection speed 576 Kbs connected why is this and how am i getting on the internet when i first boot up my isp is bt yahoo i am using windows xp

Ok... You know that little picture of the two computers that you saw on the taskbar... The one that tells you your connection speed.... Well, right-click on that, and hit repair... This might take a moment, but it SHOULD help...
