Wireless Wizard

HERE

Display a great deal of information about your current wireless connection.

This freebie is designed to work with the Azulstar WiFi provider, which runs municipal networks throughout the country, but it's even useful for those who aren't Azulstar customers. It displays information about your current wireless connection, including SSID, signal strength, access point channel, gateway, the domain of your Internet provider, and much more. But it goes beyond that as well, and offers a set of troubleshooting tools, by checking to see if you have any problems with your IP address, signal strength, and so on.

It's generally a useful tool, particularly because it's free. But it also occasionally makes mistakes, for example, reporting that you have poor wireless link quality, when in fact it's good. Still, you can't argue with free.
