    The infamous blue screen?
    « on: February 17, 2010, 03:24:00 PM »
My labtop has the infamous blue screen. Everytime I try to start it up and log in, the whole screen turns blue, and lots of information comes up about how the computer is not working. I was only able to read the first sentence, as the blue screen quickly disappears and restarts the computer. From there, I have the option of safe mode, running it normally, or going to a restore help screen. The restore help screen has many options, but none of them work in this problem, and it happens all over again.

Does anyone know what's wrong with the computer? And how can it be fixed?

    Thanks!

Sorry for the delay, if you still need help, please do the following:

Please download DDS by sUBs from BleepingComputer.com or Forospyware.com and save it to your Desktop.

Note: Before scanning, make sure all other running programs are closed. There shouldn't be any scheduled antivirus scans running while the scan is being performed. Do not use your computer for anything else during the scan.
    • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
    • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool.  No input is needed, the scan is running.
    • Notepad will open with the results, click Yes to the Optional_Scan
    • Please follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
    • Close the program window, and delete the program from your Desktop.

Go to System Properties - Advanced - Startup & Recovery Settings and uncheck "automatically restart". Next time there is an error the blue screen will stay up. Post the entire contents of that screen here..

I don't particularly care. The OP posted in the wrong forum. I'm going to help him. If one of the mods has a problem with that they can tell me directly.

Report it for what? These messages will be deleted anyway. And I never said I was a mod either, did I? No. DragonMaster Jay and all other Malware Removal Specialists and considered moderators and have moderating abilites in this forum. I've been around here longer than you to know that.

Topic moved. If this topic strays to malware removal, the OP is to post a new log here in the malware forum.
