    XP Service Packs and Drivers
    « on: February 14, 2010, 05:24:13 PM »
I'm a newbe at this so here goes.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 which came with Vista Home. Shortly there after I removed Vista and replaced it with Xp. I am having driver issues. I know several need updating. But before I go through all that searching, would it be prudent to load the updates and service packs? If so, should I install all of them or are there ones that are unnecessary?

    Thanks

You should first install the chipset driver, then the other drivers, then update to SP3 and all other MS Updates. Get the drivers from the OEM websites, NOT from MS Update.

Just a heads up that'll save you some time/effort...SP3 is cumulaitive and can be installed right after SP1....
Saves the waste of time with SP2.
