favorites don't work on Internet Explorer

I can no longer access my Favorites on IE and must go to Documents on hard drive - and even then some won't open.  When they do, a page opens, but not the site.  How can I get it back

Windows version, IE version?

IE 7, Vista, AVG antivirus, Ad-Aware, Ccleaner, Windows firewall
Error states that location is not available

Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
Can you access favorites now?

Same problem. This time it only displays history but favorites are gone and still shows location is unavailable. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall, and if so, how do I do that.

You can't uninstall IE in Vista.
Try this:
In IE, go Tools>Intrenet Options>Advanced tab, and click "Reset" button.
Restart computer.
