My computer freezes

My computer freezes when i go into games it happens for just a second and then goes back to normal but it will happen the whole time i play a game at different times randomly. For instance Iam playing a game counter strike source i would be running then It will freeze then i will pop up in the spot that i was running to.

What kind of video card are you using? What processor do you have?
Do you have any virus protection?

I had a similar problem when I set my Kaspersky Antivirus to Maximum Security and Registry Protection. Every 10-30 seconds the computer will freeze for a second and then resume.

8400 gs nvidia eh?

u could try accessing your nvidia control panel (access it from windows control panel), and under "adjust image settings with preview", check "use my preference empahsizing..." then drag the bar to the right, so that performance is selected. then apply settings, and re-run the game.
