my norton internet security has expired, is there a cheaper option for me to download?

There are numerous free antivirus software available.

Here are some recommended by this forum:

AVG
Avira
Avast

I haven't tried Avast personally but my friend has it on his laptop.

Norton is even strongly NOT recommended. I use Avast on Vista. Works perfectly fine.
Don't forget to put Windows firewall up, or if you want better, free firewall, go with Comodo.
