Grey Screen Help

  HELP! please I love my PC, It is a windows ME (Intel Pentium!!!) and every time I start it, it has a grey screen I have the windows disc.
Please help

Yer, I have tried my Godmans HDTV and my DELL monitor that came with it, i have all so tried to put the windows CD in but nothing happens the CD drive light flashes and there is a sand timer but that's all.

Yes there are beeps I have not seen any error screens yet,
I have put the CD in before it starts but nothing happens,

You put CD in, restart computer, and press "any key" when you see the message:
Press any key to boot from CD.

Then you need to enter BIOS, and change boot order to: floppy, CD drive, hard drive.

Also...you stated there are beeps when you turn the computer on.  Can you describe the beeps?  Long beeps...short beeps?  How many of each?

about 2-3 beeps quite loud and not to short

Well...which is it?  2, or 3?  And are they long beeps or short beeps?
