    boot up problem
    « on: June 04, 2008, 11:43:47 AM »
I have an external storage device, Western Digital, that I back up to daily.  It works fine but whenever I have to do a restart, the computor ,XP pro, tries to reboot from this thing which doesn't work.  I have to unplug it from the USB port, and manually restart the computor.  Why can't it find the C drive for rebooting?  Can I tell it to reboot from the C drive always?  It's just a hassle.

Check your bios settings for boot sequence. It may be set to boot from a usb device before anything else.
