Can't watch video or TV on-line, won't work on both IE7 and Firefox

A past couple of days, I encounter this weird problem that I never have before. Whenever I try to watch video clip or TV on-line, the windows that load the clips will not display anything just a X, please look at the picture,

I try on Firefox and still have the same problem. I've cleaned my Temporary Internet Files and both my shockwave player and flash player are the latest version. I've Vista Home Premium 32-bit and McAfee antivirus.

That particular video is played with Window Media Player plug-in.

Both of my IE and Firefox already have WMP plug-in  Really don't understand why this happen

Try to install that plug-in one more time.

No, still not working, sorry, I try to do what you had told me and I even check at my plug-in folder to see if I have WMP plug-in and it's there. (np-mswmp.dll)

Does Firefox display red x, as well?

yes, both on IE and Firefox  have this problem

Does your problem affects only that one particular site?

I try to watch TV on other 3-4 sites that I'm usually go to. And it's have that X sign problem too. Even can't listen to music or radio on-line also. When I try on another computer, those sites are working correctly. When I try to watch video or listen to music file that I already have on my HD by open up WMP directly, it's work. So I think (but not so sure) that WMP is fine. I only have problem when try to watch some thing via internet browser.

I'm watching Euro 2008 and so do you? OK, I tried to download Vista Codec Package from the link you give to me and still no luck    I'm using the other computer (my private one, not the one that my kids can use too) now and let the one with problem alone. But I do need to solve the problem because my kids start to annoy me by asking when it's will be fixed. You see, I'll never allow my kids to use my computer (all of my work data are storing here) Enough off topic, so, is there any more information you need to know? And thanks again for your time, I'm really appreciate it.

What puzzles me, is the fact, that both browsers are affected.
Some common plug-in , maybe?
Close Firefox.
Go Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox, and click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode). See, if it works.

P. S. Talking about Euro...what country are you rooting for? What's your home country? I was born in Poland.

  If I run web browser in safe mode then I won't be able to view anything  Is it normal? Or should I just select to disable all add-on that were added to my browser except WMP? And if I run in safe mode, how can i know if the page is working? If the window that display TV on-line (WMP DirectX Control) become only black without a 'x', does that mean it's ok now?
