Windows takes way too long to load...

how do i download failed updates?  i feel dumb not able to find how to, but i dont see anything plain in sight :x

Did you try to run Windows Updates from Control Panel? It'll tell you, if anything is missing.

it just says that there is 1 optional update available, but nothing about the two that failed

Maybe they got installed after initial failure.

Okay, so the problem must be something else...... i hate having faulty items lol  So anything else you can think that may be causing this?

Perhaps the Windows Update was the problem.

I had a problem a few month after I got my new laptop where Windows Update got rid of my Audio, keyboard and wireless drivers.

if the drivers were uninstalled, wouldent the computer not load up @ all?

OK so i still feel like an idiot but i cannot find a way to download the failed windows updates, it shows on the list as failed, and when i right click to do nething, just gives details, but no option to reinstall....

Sounds like your computer loading is slowed down due to the time it takes to load start up programs.
You can try disabling these

start
control panel
under the programs icon click Change start up programs
And disable the programs you don't need loaded on computer start up.

also... what type of anti virus program are you running?

I know Norton products always makes a computer load slowly.

Don't know if it will help but you can try.

The OS I'm using is Vista

And it just sounded like a previous problem I've experienced,
also the posts were rather confusing (to me no offence intended) so i just commented to what i understood or assumed of the situation. (hence the comment "it might not help", I could be going in the totally wrong direction =/ as your opinion states)
