sas is a better program and more through also you might have selected like an external hard driver or cd or something like that when you started the scan

The files listed will not include Restore Points, backup files etc.
As Dias stated it can easily reach a million in XP/Vista.
I believe there is an option to not scan Restore points which may speed things up.
I scan when i'm sleeping...
