    Please help
    « on: July 12, 2008, 07:45:07 PM »
I wanted to know whats the best way to stop a hacker.  Right now I use my isp package and that has a antivirus and other items  also I use norton antivirus.  About 2 weeks ago I went to a website to look up some info and it had a virus or something on it and nothing I had picked it up.  I think it was a iframe issue. Someone told me to switch to firefox.  Is there something out there that can help also I keep everything updated.

I think you should look here to make sure your computer doesn't have any Viruses like Trojans that are giving hackers a way into your computer.

also, it sounds like you're using two antiviruses simultaneously? correct me if i'm wrong, but is that not recommended?

what antivirus does your isp package provide?

If "nothing I had picked it up", why do you think "it had a virus or something on it"?

im with earthlink and i use their software that has a antivirus and i use norton antivirus from earthlink also.  Igot a virus or something thru a web site but nothing picked it up or alerted me because 2 of my game accounts got hacked into and taken and right now my computer is being formated and reloaded windows xp.  I just wanted to know which software to run that when i surf on the internet game sites that i wont pick up a virus keylogger or what ever they put on it.  The game was FFXI online and the site I think I got it from was either Killing Ifrit or FFXIAH.
