Recommendation for a good book on writing batch files

So can anybody recommend a good book on programming batch files in windows?

Sorry about the double post and thanks for showing new something I have already seen!     ;D

So the question still stands... anybody got any good recommendations on a book for programming batch files in dos?

Back in the day, MS-DOS actually came with manuals to teach you batch coding and the DOS commands. You might try your library. For an on-line course you can try Batch Language.

There are actually only 12 odd batch instructions, the rest is your imagination on how to make it work with the Microsoft commands.

    My Favorite book that has a lot of information is 'Windows NT Shell Scripting' by Tim Hill. Try searching on Amazon, I bet you can find a copy for a few bucks.
