    My computer spec;
    Manufacture - Sony Electronics, Inc.
    Model - VAIO computer
    Processor/speed - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00GHz
    Ram - 2.00 GB
System Type - 32-bit Operating System
    Hard Drive - 178 GB Used : 93.2 GB Free : 85.6 GB

When i did a system shutdown, it took quite a long time. Then I retried in safe mode, it was not as long as the regular shutdown.

You didn't say for how long this problem has been going on?
Any hardware/software changes at the time the problem started?

This had happened for quite a long time, I just ignored it because I thought it was just the regular vista speed. I'm not sure if any programs changed or caused this problem.

Let's try to disable some startups....

Download, and install Quick Startup: http://www.glarysoft.com/qs.html
Go File>Export, save report, and paste it into your next post.

        Disable (uncheck) following:
        - IgfxTray
        - Persistence
        - ISBMgr.exe
        - GrooveMonitor
        - PSQLLauncher
        - Adobe Acrobat Speed Launcher
        - Acrobat Assistant 8.0
        - VWLASU
        - VAIO Center Access Bar
        - Adobe Reader Speed Launcher
        - ThreatFire
        - Aim6
        - Uniblue RegistryBooster 2
        - Steam
        - QuickBooks Update Agent

Note: Bold entries can be disabled permanently.

You must restart computer for changes to take effect, and then shut it down. See, if it shuts down faster.

All the above startups can be easily re-enabled.

It still did not speed up my shutdown time, but it did speed up my startup. Thanks for that, but are there any other ways?

Those kind of problems are not easy to solve, but we can play around for a while. I'm curious myself.
Create boot log: http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-enable-boot-logging-for-fixing-startup-problems-in-windows.html, and post it back here.

              I got it.
At first look, there are some problems with loading some drivers, but the log is long, so I'll have to sort it out. It may take a while.

There is definitely some conflict somewhere.
Is this laptop? How is it connected to the internet? Built-in network card? What type of connection is it?
If this is high speed internet, is modem disabled?
One thing worth trying would be to reinstall network card driver.
Also, search your computer for npkcrypt.sys file, and post its location. Before search, make sure, hidden, and system files view is enabled.
