6. You have to enable system files viewing.
Try to disable modem.
Get fresh network card driver. Uninstall current driver. Install fresh one.

    Yes It was enabled. I could not find the file. I will try to disable and enable.

        UPHCLEAN (A Microsoft hotfix) used to fix a lot of these problems in pre-Vista machines but it doesn't work with Vista.
        Google for uphclean vista and you will get the idea, there is talk that something similar will be released for Vista in the future.
        Is your Vista completely 100% up to date, it wouldn't hurt.

          The uphclean wont release till another 6 months, and vista is up to date 100%.

            If Vista has an Event Viewer it may be of some help, thanks for the heads up on the 6 Months.
