    Computer is On But Screen Is Blank

    The computer turns on but the screen shows nothing on it. I did the F8 and tried safe mode and run windows normally but nothing happens. Please help, greatly appreciated

    When did this start happening?  Any recent hardware/software changes?

    Have you tried a different monitor?

    Per your PM...you state your computer is a laptop...

    When the computer is turned on...do you see any image on the screen at all?

    Granted...it may be a little hard to see, but is it totally black...or can you see an image, but the screen is dark?

    Hold a light up to it if you have to.

    It would also help to know the model number of the laptop.
