can anyone give a hint about the doctype problem I encounter? I use a floating navigation menu that does not float when using
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">
When I use <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Final//EN"> it works but I am getting hundreds of errors when validating it.
