Outlook not working

Windows Vista, SP1

When starting, Outlook loads, then freezes and the mouse cannot select anything on it because it vanishes when moved over it. Keyboard shortcuts do not work. If I minimize with Winkey+D or Alt-Tab it can't be remaximized. Ideas?
