A network cable is unplugged
« on: March 09, 2005, 10:52:22 AM »
We have a D-link Air Plus Xtreme G Wireless Router that we use to network two computers (besides the one that the router is connected to) through wireless networking cards. Well occasionally the computer we have the router connected to will log off the internet and at the bottom of the screen(where the clock is) a message bubble comes up and says "A network cable is unplugged". After a couple of moments it logs back on by itself. Needless to say we have checked the cables to make sure that they are not loose and even replaced them. Could the problem be the router?

It COULD be... It could also be the reception area, and even the networking card for your portable computer... Try movign around the antennas on the router, so that you can get a better reception...
