Windows Firewall

When I go to activate SP2 firewall I get the following-
Windows firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start windows firewall/internet connection sharing (ICS) service? when I click yes -another propt comes up saying-WE're sorry. The security centre could not turn on windows firewall. To try turning on the firewalll yourself,go to windows firewall in the control panel. In the windows firewall dialog general tab. select On (Recommended) and then clcik OK. When you do that the first prompts comes up again. Anyone got any ideas how to overcome  this?

Do you have another firewall installed? Also, do you have antivirus protection?

In fact, just don't bother with the Windows Firewall; I hear it's pants anyway. A lot of people will recommed Zonealarm, but I prefer Tiny Personal Firewall - less of a resource hog: http://www.webmasterfree.com/tpfw.html

Dear Corsive,
Thank you for reply have dowloaded Tiny Firewall but there are no instructions on how to use. I have sent an email to the company but hav no reply as yet. Any information you have would be grateful.  Ojas

Forgot to ask you does the Tiny Firewall software update it self.
