i recently reinstalled windows xp on this laptop that came with windows xp, with a windows xp cd that came with my gateway pc (so its illegal). OK, well anyways, ive searched and found drivers to make everything on this laptop work except for the internal wireless that it came with, i know its there it was working fine before the blue screen of death. Anyways i know where the switch is i have the wireless thingy on except the network wireless option ive read about everywhere is not on my network settings. ive been downloading and trying all sorts of diffrent wireless adapter software and drivers and i got finally found some guy with a page that has the same laptop as me except he is running linux. I dislike bill gates now too, im not calling microsoft ever, next blue screen of death i will switch to linux.  anyways can someone please tell me where i can find the software to make this internal wireless thing work again. Will switching to linux fix the problem? does linux come firefox ready? the guy with the same laptop as me's (<<<is that proper English) page is here... http://linuxgazette.net/108/okopnik.html

Anyways I would greatly appreciate any advice and much kudos to all you all that have inadvertantly helped me in my quest to fix this thing, I have learned Porn is bad, not just for me, but for my laptop aswell. I will return the favor any free way i can. I got neopoints i can hook up your kids with or something else.  Also now that i have installed ralink i cant configure it cuz it says ralink wirelss lancard not exist, it has to be there that guy has it it must work, I know i must be close to a solution, PLease help me. THis is driving me insane any more migrains and im going to open this thing up and hit it with a haammer a few times
