What does this mean?

My computer says "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications." What does that mean? and how canit be solved? My computer is a MICRON computer and it was custon built.
