Wierd Odd Strange Recycle Bin Occurence
    « on: September 22, 2008, 10:43:08 AM »
I was checking some of my stuff when I noticed there was something in the bin so I went to empty it an it came up with a folder called windows.  So I looked in it an there was nothing inside so I tried to put the file back an then empty the bin but the file is still there.

Try creating a dummy file, for example open notepad and make and save a small text file, send it to the recycle bin, then empty the bin.

let me try to translate that- you were having trouble with FOF and you deleted it. Going to the recycle bin, you saw two items. You said "no" (literally, I presume) and one dissapeared.

I know what it's like. I said "sh*t", and my computer heard me and crapped all over the desk! Hang in there, squall. PS Where did you learn to speak Martian?

PS Where did you learn to speak Martian?

currently, there are 2452 examples of the martian dialect. It's a strange dialect, randomly interchanging phonetically similiar words, and often neglecting any coherent grammar at all- the trick is to learn to imitate their processes. For example, I can also translate the other way:

"The dog lay on it's bed and fell asleep"

        would translate to:

dog go bed catch z's :)

not so hard to translate back, really. But a harder example:

"After finishing breakfast, he couldn't believe it was almost noon"

        would translate into this gibberish:

"I finish brekfast and know it is allmost 12!"

once their process of creating their communication is established, one can develop a proper reciprocal ability to attempt to bring meaning to the communicated verbiage.

In other words, get rid of spell check.

In other words, get rid of spell check.

Very close, but you see, the rules of the language use very complicated algorithms to determine how the next word will be spelled and wether it will introduce a grammatical error. it involves taking into account the number of currently misspelled words, the number of grammatical errors, and the number of smileys currently used in the sentence, which by the way, could be the length of an entire paragraph.
