    I have a 5 year old HP Laptop and was wondering if the newer laptops have stonger wireless connectivity for distance to router?

    What exactly do you mean? No matter how old the laptop is, the connection will always be stronger closer to the wireless router.

      Not sure, but I would think so.

      Also, newer wireless cards have more than one authentication abilities allowing them to connect to different types of wireless signals.
