USB Type A to Type A - Data File Sharing --Help
« on: October 30, 2008, 02:08:33 AM »
I bought a cable that is a USB Type A at both ends and advertised on the packaging to connect one computer to the other.

I tried to set up a Direct Connect in Communications, but only see Com1, Com2, and LPT as only available options.... Anyone know how to perform a direct connect via this cable and USB?

Do I need any special software to make this happen?

Plugged this cable in between 2 computers a system running XP and another running 2000 and no connection was made. I know the USB ports work and the 2000 is USB 1.1 and the XP can run at 1.1 or 2.0

Thanks

Part of the problem is most people don't generally deal with computer problems. So for most they think that close enough is good enough.
