windows xp is unable to detect speaker
« on: October 24, 2008, 09:46:38 PM »
I tried to install my speaker (creative product) to my windows Xp professional PC, however the system does not seen to detect the PnP speaker.

I have tried unplugging the speaker, shut down windows, plugging in the speaker again and turning on windows again. However the system does not detect it.

I also tried the add hardware wizard, however it led me through a series of steps and still could not find the speaker.

I have read on this website that I the PnP settings in the CMOS could have been disabled I am but not sure how to enable PnP in CMOS.

Any help will be nice... Thank you.
