« on: March 23, 2005, 05:12:15 PM »
hi, if anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. heres my problems, i cant play any kind of audio, from mp3s,midi,mpg, every other file u can think of. my sound on my games like warcraft do not work also. i think maybe because i downloaded a mp3 search program and my anti virus made me delete it. sometimes the programs are made the default audio player or whatever so i was thinking that. if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

well no one is helping me so far but maybe because i didnt give enough information. i have windows xp and when i click sound and audio devices under control panel, the volume, audio and voice tabs stay gray meaning i cant move or click anything under those tabs. also when i click system information under start, then accessories, i find that i have nothing under sound devices. nothing will play on my windows media player even after downloading another version and nothing plays on any other program i use. help would be appreciated thanks in advanced

Hello joeyttt... First.... It sounds like your sound card drivers have been removed... Do you have the CD that your manufacturer provided you for your sound card? If not, then go to your sound card manufacturer's website, and download them there... Also... This link will help you understand why nobody helped you sooner... http://computerhope.com/issues/ch000636.htm#12 ... Sometimes you just have to wait a day or two Joe.
