XP wont boot because of Windows Installer
« on: October 29, 2008, 05:04:52 AM »
Hi,
I uninstalled a program and restarted my PC. But now it freezes at the XP startup screen because of Windows installer.

I took out the hard drive and mounted it into a caddy and deleted the rest of the Program folder. Reinstalled the hard drive, but the problem still exsts.

Can anybody help me?

If i place the Drive back into a caddy is there some way to get intoa startup file and stop the windows installer from loading on startup??

Deleting what program folder ? ? Be more specific.
You may be looking at a repair install of XP.
Do you have an XP CD ? ?
