Hello Ashutosh
Good that you are going to Linux.
When you ask that question you will get many different feelings.
I have SuSe 10.3 and love it.
Seldom use Windows or MS products
Reason choosing SuSe was from experience earlier with an old laptop that could not be upgraded.
Tried Mandrake, Redhat, and an early version of SuSe.. The key to enjoyment is how well the OS will configure and that SuSe was greatest at configuring the hardware on that thing...8gb drive, dialup modem, zipdrive and monitor were obsolete stuff.
Love the configuration tools and the support from a large community make it enjoying.
Current with newer laptop, Duel boot with Winxp set with file system Fat32 and in Linux able to go into XP..and manipulate files.. With SuSe came an huge amount of software.. VM software that is not configured as yet, is the next project to run XP under this Linux and never have to go back.
Well as you can see..Your question will bring out feelings about what is the best.
Good luck
tom
