Turned off shared memory...  Do you have an AGP/PCI video card, or are you using an integrated one?  Can you give specs of your computer?

ok. the vide/graphics card is definatley not PCI so it must be intergrated. MY OS is windows xp service pack 2, my proccessor is an amd sempron 2200+, my RAM is 256mb. Oh and if this helps, at the top of the screen, there are randome flashing numbrs and letters that are:

  /A9    N7||-                Ye<<<<<<<<          <<<<<<
                                     ( here there are symbols of a musical cleff, and a speaker)
