Opening Attachments

I tried to E-Mail and attachment that was created by Microsoft Publisher/a part of Office Suite.  The receivers cannot open the Attachment.  They are on AOL...is AOL a problem?  Or....does the E-mail receiver have to have MS Publisher installed on their end to open a Pub attachment?  They can open attachments sent in MS Word, etc.  I thought that Word and Publisher can be compatible and work together as a part of the Suite.

Word does not open Publisher files and not all versions of Office come with Publisher.  One option for you would be to convert the Publisher files to PDF, which recipients could open with Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader.  Let us know if you want more info on that.
