In Firefox's menu bar, go to "Tools" and click "Options...".
In the Options window, go to the "Privacy" tab.
In the "Private Data" section at the bottom of the window, click "Settings...".

From there, you can customize what Firefox should clean out.
For example, to clear your browser history, check the box next to "Browser History".
To keep your passwords, uncheck "Saved Passwords".
If you do not want to have something cleared, just uncheck it.

After you have adjusted what you want Firefox to delete or keep, click "OK".
Back in the Options window, check the box next to "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox".

Now, every time Firefox closes, it will clean out only what you want it to.
Happiness is not getting what you want, it is wanting what you get.

      Thank you for the help.

I whent into settings in the Privice Tab to customize the things Firefox gets rid of.

      It ask me.
When Firefox asks me to Clear things what sould it clear.

So I whent down the list Cookies and Files and Forms and Data and all the things like that.

And then I clicked on OK and it takes me back to the Main Privice Tab Window.

If I put a Check Mark in Clear Personale Data when Firefox Closes will this clear everything I set in the Customize Window when Firefox Closses???

Firefox will clear whatever you set it to clear (like your history) when it closes.  Firefox will still remember your settings.

OK Firefox did an Update and now it keeps going back to the Firefox Home Page.

I keep going into te Main Tab and clicking Show Home Page and under that I tryed clicking on use current pages.

And it always goes back to Firefox Home Page.

So I tryed just typing in Google.com and it still goes back to Firefox Home Page when I open Firefox up.

Do I have a Check Mark ware I sould take it out of? Like Clear Forms and Data or something like this??

Oh, you're doing okay. Firefox is ambiguous in some of its instructions.

Go to that MAIN page, and put in whatever Home you want. Be sure that you have scrolled all the way to the left in the text-window, so you are sure there is nothing else there. (That is quite possible, and it can mess up your setting.)

Type in whatever you want. It should look something like this:
          http://www.google.ca/

Then simply turn off Firefox, and start it up again. Note: If you have Firefox running on its fast-startup mode, you have to right-click your taskbar notifications icon to make sure you really turned it off.

          Should work now.

—By the way, after updates to Firefox or to some of your add-ons, you get a "one time only" display of a page that tells you the update has been done. Then you have to press on your Home button. But that is just for one time.

well it still wont go to the Home Page I tell it to.
When I go back to check it has Google.com or what ever that was you told me to put in you know how to type it out.

But up top it puts back in  Show Destop  something and I have to dropdown the list and put show Home Page.

You told me Firefox may be set to Qwick Start how can I check or stop this?
When I close Firefox I look in the System Tray and I see no Firefox Icone just my Virus Program and Firewall

              Could you please clarify?

I doubt you are using a fast-startup mode.  It is a feature which you have to add to Firefox.  I am not familiar with it but if you do not see a Firefox icon in the system tray, you probably are not using a fast-startup mode.

Also, please list any Firefox add-ons you have installed.

Now Firefox goes to my Home Page I don't know why now it works again.

But When you are on a web page and you want to Bookmark it you just go to Bookmark this page and then click on Bookmark this page.

And it ads the Link to the end of the List right under ware it says From Internet Explorer.

How can I get it to go in with my Links and things I had from Explorer.

See when I go to Bookmark and go down the list I see a Folder that sys From Internet Explorer and then there is all of my Links.

But when I Bookmark something it puts it undr the Folder that says Froom Internet Explorer.

In Firefox, under File >Bookmarks >Organize Bookmarks, you can manipulate everything just the way you want it. You can move your bookmarks and favourites so you get the ones you want on your toolbar. Exactly as you wish.

BUT—Firefox 2 and previous Firefoxes were much nicer for this. Firefox really wrecked a good system of bookmarking with Firefox 3. The problem is that not many people know how to make a good "tree" [hierarchy] and I'm sure that some Firefox devs didn't know, themselves. So they basically tried to get rid of a perfectly good system.

Same thing in Vista: Bill Gates wanted you to use "search" for everything, as opposed to arranging your files in good order.

Anyway, if you go into Organize Bookmarks, you can do the job. It just isn't as easy or pleasant as it used to be. Actually the same thing works better in reverse with IE 8.

You'd be wise to copy your Firefox bookmarks.html somewhere else on your computer while you were experimenting. It's probably in your AppData Mozilla Profiles, but it could be in your main Firefox program too. Notice its size; the empty default file will be much smaller than the one that contains your bookmarks.

                  Good luck.

OK I am going nuts going through all the Firefox Settings and I can't find how to change the way Web Pages print out.

Every time I print a Web Page the Text is very very small.

You may have to Reset all of your Firefox Settings again and see if that helps.

And do not let Firefox Run in the System Tray when you do not use it.

I have had some problems getting Firefox to stick with my Home Page but now it dos.

Some times and I don't know why you may have to Set Firefox Settings over and over befor they stay I have to do that and now it works almost ok.
