Completely confused where this should go, but Lnk failure
« on: December 25, 2008, 06:43:22 PM »
I  believe it should probably be here.....

Okay, to give you a general background; I tried to install a game (Heroes of Might and Magic V). The system requested that I do a reboot, and I did, only to find that some of my anti-virus and spyware-detector starting to malfunction. Only later did I realize that my Lnk files are damage, and not just the ones on my desktop: My startup menu, my games, my music, and all my program's Lnk are dead.

first of all, I would like to know how I received it. most of all, I would like to know what to do about this without having to clean out my memory and format my computer.

Thanks a bunch...

Sorry for the long wait.  We are VERY backed-up right now!  Is this a legal copy of the game or is it cracked?  If it's cracked, then you could be dealing with a nasty infection.  If it's legal, then it could be anything.  Either way, if you would like assistance, please read the following...
