Hi..need help please.
Dell laptop,windows xp, friend asked me to help her as it was all messed up.
Norton detected 3 Vundo's fixed them and then restarted, when it did,
I got a black screen saying that computer wont start as it is missing
hal.dll file.
I have a windows disc, but wont boot from it.
I can get into the bios, and tried to change boot order, still
wont recognize cd, not sure if the drive is corrupted.
Can I do anything from the bios to get things going again?
Please help.
