help!!

i've just gone over to broadband but cannot download movies programs etc,one or two blue bars appear but no time remaining or download rate,someone told me it could be my firewall,my connection speed is ok

Well... Somebody was right telling you that it could be the firewall.... Is it preventing these downloads? Which security level is it set to?

the firewall was set to medium,i changed it to minimal but i still cant download anything

From what source are you attempting to download?  Is it P2P only or is it any kind of download?

I am having the same problem.  It doesn't matter what kind of file or from where it's from.  For example, I tried to download Spybot from Download.com.  My computer acts the same as described here.
