good, good.

Now there should be a new menu when you right click. Select the folder you want to compress/encrypt, and select "compress" or some option similar. It will likely have the 7-Zip icon beside it. Make sure to select the one that says "+Options" or has an ellipsis (three Periods) right after it.

If that doesn't work- you can run 7-Zip and drag the folder onto it. Then set the password for the archive (likely one of the menus)

This seems very strange.  Do all students in the class have to do this?  Why would he not simply provide instructions on how to install it, rather than have everyone take their computer to him so that he can install it?

      I'm with Soybean on this one...sounds flakey to me.
      What software is it ? ?
      All Universities have araangements with Software vendors and he should be able to supply it to you without having to go anywhere near your machine.
      I'd point out to him that it is your personal property and if he still insists then suggest you may need to speak to the Dean first to see if this is common procedure...he may change his song after that...

        You could make a file and rename it [alt 255] so it's invisible. Then right click and do Properties and click Custom, then change Icon in invisible. Then, add of two of those (or more) inside of it, and scatter them in the window, and then open it and add them in. I have that :O.

        The more i think about this the more troubled i get...i'd HIGHLY suggest not handing your machine over to anyone...Professor or not.

            Actually , I have an older version of Adobe Compact Suit and he has the latest one, so he said he would put it(Latest CS) on my computer, I asked him to give me a copy, he said he has it on the Hard Disk(he doesn't have it on the CD) so I have to bring my hard disk or computer case,My other friends have already taken from him.
            He's really kind and nice, He's also Old, so I think he must be nice.

                Eh, this doesn't make sense, either.  How is he going to install a program on your hard drive from his hard drive?  It doesn't work that way; this just makes no sense.
