Actually its doing a better job at start up than XP did. Besides its exactly the same as XP... Totaly useless untill service pack 1 came out.
Now if I can just convince it that my graphics card doesn't have 2 gig of memory... 
you'll have bigger problems convincing it your genuine.
I update it with automatic updates all the time.
And that will be the root of the problem later when the VLK is blacklisted.
