VLC media player help

That's ok I found all the settings I was looking for I just forgot ware they ware.

But it still does not work the only File it makes is a Video Fil that is always 0. Bytes.

I understand why you can't help just one thing.

If no one cane help and should help  then how do people and everybody know how to do these things??

Well, if it was me and you, off the forums, I could help you

It is just that it is forum rules that we do not discuss anything illegal as the forum can get into trouble for discussing such things, however if a Mod gives the green light for me to help, I can.

And I use Movie Stdio 8.0 and I am just doing Effects with the Video Clips.

When I go to Help and About this is what it says for Verson.

Remember I told you that my Verson of VLC looks nothing like the one they have on YouTube that people tell you how to use.

Well I just whent to videoland/vlc

And looked at the Verson they have on there web site.
And they give you a Screen Shot of what it looks like.

So I downloaded it and Installed it.

Verson 0.9.2 and then I ran it and it looks nothing like what is on there web site.

Now when I go on YouTube and look up people telling me how to use it and difernt things about it nothing ever matches.

Can someone please give me the corect Verson to download.

Just go to  videoland/vlc
And the screen shot they give you is not what O downloaded from them.
There Menu Bar starts with
File and things like this you will see.
My VLC menu bar starts with Media and goes into other things and does not have File.
I need the verson they have on there web site the one they give the screen shot of.

your VLC version isn't different then the versions of VLC you see- it simply isn't VLC at all. You downloaded something else.

I have VLC Media Player but I don't think I have the real VLC Media Player.
And I am having sooooo many problems with it.

I would like to know ware I can get the New verson of VLC Media Player I did get my verson from Videolan.com
But I don't think it's right.

So I would like a clean good copy of the new verson to start over again??
