I recently added memory to my Compaq Presario 061. I have Windows XP with Service Pack 3 Build 2600. I had to haul it to town to get the right memory chip. I installed it while I had it at Staples to be sure it was right this time. The first one wasn't. When I got home, I discovered that my CD Rom wasn't working. All it will do is pop the tray out. The button will put the tray back in, but it just pops out again. It doesn't matter whether it has a CD in it or not. It won't read the CD even if I hold it in.
