Rar files

I am trying to convert a film called "The Cave of the Yellow Dog" which has downloaded into multiple files with the name "tcotyd.frag.r00" and the second one "r01" and so on.

Does anyone know how I can convert these to AVI or WMV so I can join them together?

Also in the batch there was two sample clips in AVI, which I can watch perfectly

Do not want to purchase programmes just for this one film.

If anyone can help, I would be much obliged.

Download, and install 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
In the list of r00, r01, etc. toward the end of the list, you'll find one file with .rar extension.
Double click on it.
