SCSI drive shows up....
« on: April 23, 2005, 01:03:00 PM »
In Device Manager, but is not given a drive letter or is visible at all in Windows Explorer. (Windows XP Pro SP2 on a dual Xeon 2.8). Drive is an IBM DNES-318350W.

My SCSI controller seems to be working just fine, when the PC boots up I see it go through and spin up the SCSI drive (currently I have an IDE drive as my OS and was hoping to use the SCSI drive as a program/file storage drive).

Device Manager says that the device is working properly. I am SCSI dumb though so i am probably missing something.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx

Sam

You must format it and assign it a drive letter.
